Accessibility

This website is owned and administered by the Department of Infrastructure, Transport, Regional Development, Communications and the Arts.

The Department is committed to providing information and services that are easy to use and are accessible to the widest possible audience. We have designed this website to meet Australian Government accessibility standards and aim to meet Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA.

Browsers and devices

Our website uses responsive web design, this means it automatically adjusts to different devices and screens sizes, such as desktop, tablet and mobile. The website should work on all commonly used supported browsers.

Design

Our website has been designed to be highly accessible and includes features such as high contrast colours, and larger font and headings. Where relevant, images have been included to support written content.

Content and navigation

Content has been designed so that it is easy to read and in different, accessible formats, including video and image. There are different ways to navigate content and find information based on your communication need or service type. Some of the ways to navigate content include through the main navigation menu, content on the home page, footer navigation, sitemap and search.

Search

You can search for site content by using website search. You can find the search option at the top right-hand corner of the website.

Videos

We use video to provide information in an alternative format.

Video transcripts have been provided in the Vimeo interface.

In most cases, videos are published on Vimeo and are embedded on the site for easy access. If you are having issues accessing video content, please contact us via our Feedback form.

HTML, PDF and other document formats

Our website may contain documents that are not available in HTML format. To help users to download, print and share web content, some documents are available in Portable Document Format (PDF) and/or Microsoft Word (DOCX). For downloadable documents, text appears alongside the document link describing the file type and size.

If you are having issues accessing content in a particular format, please contact us via our Feedback form.

Zoom

Most browsers allow you to zoom in and out of a web page, allowing you to magnify elements on the page, such as text. Zoom options are generally accessible via the browser menu, or via the keyboard by holding down CTRL + together (to zoom in) or CTRL – together (to zoom out).
